Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) was a righteous man whom Allah blessed with good health, wealth, and many children. Despite all these blessings, he was always deeply grateful to Allah, kind to the poor, and generous to those in need, never forgetting his Lord in times of ease.

Allah decided to test His faithful servant's patience. Ayyub lost his wealth, and then a severe illness affected his body for many long years, until many people kept their distance from him. Yet Ayyub never lost hope or complained about his Lord. He remained patient and thankful, remembering Allah with his heart and tongue in every situation.

His faithful wife stayed by his side throughout those difficult years, caring for him with love and never leaving him despite the hardship. Ayyub always thanked her and prayed for good things to come her way.

After many years of beautiful patience, Ayyub humbly turned to his Lord, saying that hardship had touched him, and that Allah is the Most Merciful of the merciful. Allah answered his prayer and told him to strike the ground with his foot. Cool, fresh water sprang forth, and when he washed with it, Allah healed him completely.

Afterward, Allah honored Ayyub even more, restoring his health and giving him back his family along with even greater blessings than before, as a mercy and a reward for his beautiful patience and constant gratitude.

Because of this, people remember Prophet Ayyub as a wonderful example of patience during hardship and gratitude during ease, and of trusting that relief from Allah is always near, no matter how long a trial may last.

The Lesson: Patience and trust in Allah during hard times lead to relief and abundant goodness.
