Prophet Ibrahim, or Abraham, (peace be upon him) lived among people who worshipped idols they had made with their own hands. He thought deeply and reflected until he came to know the one true Creator.

Ibrahim (peace be upon him) invited his people, and even his own father, to worship Allah alone, gently explaining that idols could not hear, help, or harm anyone.

To show his people that the idols had no power at all and could not even protect themselves, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) broke them. This made his people very angry.

The people decided to punish Ibrahim (peace be upon him) by throwing him into a huge fire they built, not knowing that Allah was with him and would protect him.

By Allah's command, the fire became cool and safe for Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and he came out of it completely unharmed. Everyone was amazed at Allah's great power.

Ibrahim (peace be upon him) spent his whole life inviting people to believe in One God, and Allah honored him by making many prophets come from his family after him.

The Lesson: Whoever truly trusts Allah and is sincere in obeying Him will be protected and cared for, no matter how hard things become.
