Allah created Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) from clay with His own blessed care, breathed a soul into him, and taught him the names of many things, honoring him above much of creation.

Allah placed Adam and his wife Hawwa (Eve) in a beautiful garden full of goodness, and allowed them to eat from all its fruits except for one tree, which He told them not to go near.

Shaytan (Satan) whispered to Adam and Hawwa and made the tree seem tempting, so they forgot the warning and ate from it. Right away, they felt sorrow and regret in their hearts.

Adam and Hawwa hurried to turn back to Allah, calling on Him with sincere hearts and asking for forgiveness. Allah, who is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful, accepted their repentance.

Allah sent Adam and Hawwa down to the earth to become the first two people to live there, and from them came many generations who spread across the whole world.

Allah taught Adam (peace be upon him) how to live on earth and worship his Lord, and he became the first prophet to carry the message of believing in One God.

The Lesson: No matter what mistake a person makes, the door to turning back to Allah in honest repentance is always open.
