As the sun began to slip behind the hills, Grandma's garden slowly began to change. The bees stopped buzzing between the flowers, and the morning glory gently closed its colorful petals, as if pulling a soft blanket over itself.
In the nearby tree, a little bird returned to its nest after a long day of flying and play. It smoothed its feathers quietly, tucked its head under its wing, and closed its eyes, listening to the whisper of the leaves.
Even the gray cat, who had chased butterflies all day, stretched out on a warm stone and yawned slowly, feeling that it was time to rest.
Sara walked past the garden before going to bed and looked at all this gentle stillness. She whispered to herself, "Everything is sleeping now, and I will sleep too, just like the flowers and the birds."
She went back to her room, put on her pajamas, said a soft goodnight as her mother had taught her, closed her eyes picturing the quiet garden, and slept peacefully until morning.
The Lesson: Every living thing needs rest, and peaceful sleep is a gift to be grateful for.
