In the great jasmine tree lived a little bird named Reem, who never slept early like the other birds. He loved staying awake after everyone else had closed their eyes, quietly watching over the garden.
One night, his mother asked, “Why won't you sleep, Reem?” He answered shyly, “I like guarding the garden and singing a gentle song to the stars.” His mother smiled and said, “That's lovely, little one, but make sure you sleep soon too.”
Reem began to chirp softly, a simple tune about the moon, the stars, and the sleeping trees. The little rabbits in the garden heard him and felt reassured, sleeping even deeper and calmer.
After singing his last song, Reem too felt sleepiness brush against his eyelids. He folded his wings gently over his warm nest and slept peacefully, knowing his song had brought comfort to everyone in the garden.
