Sara’s grandfather gave her a new doll that could talk and sing, and she was overjoyed, hugging it all day long. The next day, she brought it to the park where her friends were playing, and Layla came up excitedly, saying, «Your doll is so pretty! Can I play with it for a bit?».

Sara hesitated, hugging the doll to her chest, and said, «It’s brand new, I don’t want it to get dirty or break». Layla walked away sadly, and Sara sat playing alone in a corner of the park, while the rest of her friends played another fun game together, laughing a lot.

Sara felt bored and lonely, watching her friends laugh and take turns in their game with clear joy. She remembered her teacher’s words: «Beautiful things become even more beautiful when we share them with those we love». Sara got up and asked the girls, «Would you like to take turns playing with my doll with me?».

The friends agreed eagerly, and they all sat in a circle sharing the doll, each one trying it for a few minutes before carefully passing it on. Sara discovered that their shared laughter made the day far lovelier than playing alone ever had, and told herself, «My doll lost nothing at all — my whole day just became better».
