In an old Gulf village near the coast, a kind farmer passed away and left his two sons, Saeed and Saad, a beautiful date-palm farm, split evenly between them. Saeed was warm-hearted and shared his harvest with poor neighbors and travelers passing through. His brother Saad, however, hoarded everything for himself and refused to give away even a single date.

Years passed, until a harsh drought struck and the whole village's land grew tired and dry. When Saeed fell ill and traveled away for treatment, he returned to find his palm trees still thriving — because the neighbors he had once helped had come together to water and tend his land while he was gone.

Saad, despite everything he had stored away, found his harvest spoiled and dried up, for when he needed help, no one came — he had never earned anyone's goodwill.

Ashamed and troubled, Saad went to his brother Saeed. Saeed welcomed him with a warm smile, without a hint of blame, and generously shared his harvest with him, just as he always did with others.

Saad realized his mistake, and from that day on began sharing with his neighbors with an open heart, until the whole village came to know the two brothers as the family of kindness and generosity.

The village flourished after that, and its people learned that a helping hand given today returns as blessing tomorrow.

The Lesson: Generosity and giving return to us as blessing, and a caring community is stronger than any hoarded fortune.
