Isaac Newton was an English physicist and mathematician, considered one of the most important scientists in the history of science. He formulated the three laws of motion and the law of universal gravitation, explaining the movement of celestial bodies and the falling of objects on Earth with a single unified law.
Alongside physics, Newton independently developed calculus alongside mathematician Leibniz, invented the first practical reflecting telescope, and contributed to optics by studying how white light splits into the colors of the spectrum.
