Long ago, in a city where people worshipped idols, a group of young men believed in the one true God. Fearing they would be forced away from their faith, they agreed to flee together, leaving their city for a cave hidden in a remote mountain — and with them went their faithful dog, who never left their side.

Once inside the cave, they prayed that God would guide their affair and grant them ease from His mercy. God caused a deep sleep to fall upon them. They thought they had slept only a night or part of a day, yet hundreds of years passed above them while their bodies stayed whole and untouched, turned gently from side to side, and their dog kept watch at the cave's entrance the whole time.

When they finally awoke, believing little time had passed, one of them went to the city to buy food — only to find everything changed, and the people now believers for generations. Their story became a lasting sign to everyone that God's promise is true, and that life after death is no doubt at all.
