There once lived a beautiful white dove on a tall tree beside a river. She always complained about her small nest and the little food she had, looking with envy at other birds who owned bigger nests.

One very hot day, the river near her nest dried up, and the other doves struggled to find water everywhere. That was when the little dove realized her nest was still close to a small pond that had not dried up yet.

The little dove shared the water with her thirsty friends and began to feel grateful for what she had, instead of thinking about what she lacked. She said to herself, 'How unaware I was of the blessing of nearby water and a safe nest.'

As the days passed, the dove noticed her happiness grew whenever she gave thanks for small things, like the warm sunshine and the sound of her siblings singing every morning.

And so the dove changed completely, soaring each day while singing with joy, for she had learned that gratitude does not need you to own a lot — it only needs a heart that sees the blessing in everything.

The Lesson: Giving thanks for small blessings fills the heart with happiness and contentment.
