During a road trip with their parents, Karim and his sister Sara stopped by an old, abandoned train station on the edge of the road, drawn in by its rusty sign and mysterious stillness. They asked their father if they could look around a little, and he agreed as long as they stayed close.
As they wandered carefully, an old caretaker named Uncle Fawzi stepped out — he had looked after the place ever since retiring. “This station was once full of life,” he told them with a smile. “Trains passed through every morning, loaded with travelers and fruit.”
Uncle Fawzi took them on a short tour and pointed to the station's old, stopped clock. “That clock stopped the day the last train did,” he said, “but I keep it clean because it holds a dear memory for me.”
Karim and Sara listened eagerly to Uncle Fawzi's stories about the old station, feeling as though they had traveled through time to see its golden days. They said goodbye to the kind caretaker with gratitude and returned to the car carrying a wonderful story to share with their friends.
