In an old Chinese city there once lived a poor young man named Aladdin, who lived with his mother in a modest home. One day a strange man claiming to be his uncle arrived and asked him to travel to a distant cave to fetch an old lamp, promising a generous reward. But once inside the cave, the man tried to trick Aladdin and trapped him there after taking the lamp, leaving Aladdin sealed in darkness.

While rubbing an old ring the stranger had given him earlier, a great genie appeared and offered his help. Aladdin asked to be freed from the cave, and found himself safely home again, still carrying the old lamp. When his mother later cleaned the lamp to sell it, an even greater genie appeared, telling them he would grant whatever they wished.

Aladdin used the lamp wisely, building a good life for himself and helping the poor around him, learning that true blessing lies not in magical power alone, but in how honestly and kindly it is used toward others.
