The park near Weam's house was full of litter and plastic bags that some people carelessly threw away. One Friday, Weam was walking with her mother past the park when she saw a child toss an empty plastic bottle onto the grass.

Weam felt sad and said to her mother, Why do people do that? The park used to be so beautiful. Her mother said, Instead of just feeling sad, we can do something to change it.

The next day, Weam gathered her neighborhood friends Yazan, Rahaf, and Kenan. They brought trash bags and gloves, and agreed to clean the park together every weekend. They worked hard, collected all the litter, and tidied the park up again.

After cleaning, Weam asked her father for two small tree saplings, and they planted them in a corner of the park, and made a small sign that read, This is our park, please take care of it.

Months later, the park was green and clean again, and the neighbors began caring for it too, thanking the children for their initiative. Weam felt very proud, and realized that anyone, even a child, can make a real difference in caring for their environment.
