Far up in the sky lived a little moon named Milo. His light was soft and pale, nothing like the bright, strong glow of the sun.
Every night Milo looked at the big, shining stars around him and sighed quietly, thinking, my light is too small, no one will ever notice me.
One night, he heard a little girl whisper from her window, thank you, dear moon, your soft light makes me feel safe before I fall asleep.
Milo smiled a quiet, happy smile. He realized his gentle light was exactly what children needed to rest well, since a light too bright would only hurt their sleepy little eyes.
From that night on, Milo glowed softly and proudly over every house, watching each child drift off to sleep one by one, until he too drifted into a peaceful rest behind the fluffy clouds.
The Lesson: A small, gentle light is sometimes all it takes to bring comfort and peace.
